    Follow-up

Wieser forecast $15.1B in 2024 US political ad spend, up from $14.1B in 2020 - note the $14.1B is his own model's 2020 figure (GroupM's December 2020 forecast estimated "$14 billion in likely expenditures"), not the AdImpact tracked-buys 2020 total of $9B often cited elsewhere. AdImpact's final tracked 2024 total was ~$11B (NBC News, Nov 2024) on a narrower scope, so the $15.1B cannot be cleanly judged against it.
