This trial next week will start not just with allegations of a monopoly it starts with another District Court having already clearly stated that Google has Monopoly power over the advertising demand that fuels the open web that's what they walk in with along with a judge that's going to have inferences against all the the witnesses that they purged evidence which is a it's a tough I'd be curious what our our friend in the end of panel would would um would set the odds for now versus before that um but Google's reach doesn't just stop there they dominate over 91 I haven't heard the stat today over 91% of the ad server market for Publishers so again to make it Crystal Clear that's well north of 90% control over the advertising demand coming in and it's over 90% over the ad server software on the cell side going out with significant Market power over the exchanges in between.

    Follow-up

Kint's statement refers to the US v. Google ad tech trial (United States v. Google LLC, et al., No. 1:23-cv-00108), which was indeed ongoing in September 2024. The trial concluded, and in December 2024, a jury found Google liable for anticompetitive practices related to its ad tech business. The remedies phase of the trial is still pending as of early 2025, meaning the ultimate impact and specific remedies are still evolving. The prior rulings and market share statistics Kint cited did contribute to the DOJ's case.
