Follow-up

Both parts of this 2024 prediction came through. TikTok closed a U.S. deal in January 2026 that put its American operations under a majority-American board and reduced ByteDance to 19.9%. GLP-1 obesity treatments also kept expanding: Novo Nordisk reported 31% constant-currency obesity-care sales growth in 2025 and 104% volume growth in the branded GLP-1 obesity market.
